Access and Participation in the IB MYP

For Lucille M. Brown Middle School, all students are IB students and participate in programme requirements as part of their school experience. If students reside within the LMBMS attendance zone, there is no additional application for admission. For city residents outside of the LMBMS attendance zone, students must complete an application by the published deadline through the open enrollment lottery. Transportation is currently not provided for students who accept a space through open enrollment.

At Thomas Jefferson High School, all ninth and tenth grade students are IB students and participate in Middle Years Programme coursework. For students who reside in TeeJay's attendance zone, there is no additional application requirement for participation. For city residents who live outside of the TeeJay attendance zone, students must submit applications through the open enrollment lottery to secure a potential space. Transportation is not currently provided to students who secure a space through open enrollment. MYP students who secure a space at TJHS may continue into the Diploma Programme for grades 11 and 12 as long as they retain residency requirements or the open enrollment lottery space and meet prerequisites for DP coursework.
