What is the International Baccalaurate Middle Years Programme?
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed to support the specific academic, interpersonal, and developmental needs of students in the five years between 6th and 10th grades. In Richmond Public Schools, the MYP is available to students at Lucille M. Brown Middle and Thomas Jefferson High Schools.
Making a Difference
In our Middle Years Programme, students receive so much more than an ordinary education. The Middle Years Programme is open to all students at Lucille M. Brown Middle and to all ninth and tenth grade students at Thomas Jefferson High School. We pride ourselves on creating unique, exciting environments that embrace all types of learners and promote growth both academically and personally. Students and families are welcomed into a dynamic and supportive learning community.
