Creativity @ First Friday -- Art 180

Here is a great opportunity to start October creatively. This from the Outreach and Engagement manager at Art 180:

We are calling all dancers, poets, actors/actresses, singers etc to be celebrated in a safe and encouraging environment. Join us at our Atlas gallery for an evening of youth-led and centered events this October 1 from 5-8 p.m. We’re taking over the sidewalk in front of Atlas with an expansive community art activity, pop-up art shop run by young artists, and DJ sets, performances, and open mics from young people. Inside the gallery, we’ll have an interactive projection of a virtual exhibition as well as an augmented reality experience hosted by Hidden In Plain Site. This event is part of our year-long Black Is _____ 365 project, centering and celebrating Black voices in our community. On October 1, Black is YOUth 365 keeps the spotlight on our young people, so that all eyes are on them when they speak up. Most activities are focused outside, and capacity will be limited to 30 at a time inside our gallery, masks required. Whether youth come to perform or catch a vibe we’d love to show them a safe and good time.

Remember that creativity experiences require an "original or interpretive product or performance," so participating in this venue may provide you with the opportunity to complete that part of your creativity experience in an enjoyable space with friends.
