Class of 2025 - CAS Kickoff
Juniors got a jump start on their Creativity, Activity, Service requirement by participating in a service experience this afternoon. They gathered acorns in front of the school to aid in the Virginia Department of Forestry's reforestation efforts.
Most importantly, they had the opportunity to approach this experience using the CAS stages and through the lens of two learning outcomes. Students documented the experience in ManageBac, providing information about investigation and planning. As a group, they selected two learning outcomes: Considering the benefits and skills needed for collaboration, and Engaging with issues of global importance.
At the completion of the Action, they participated in a circle to reflect together about what they learned about these learning experiences.
Great start, TeeJay Juniors! What will you do next?
